Dr Von Widekind carried out digestive laparoscopy on me in July. Before the surgery he reassured me that he would speak to me after, to let me know how it went and what he has done. After the surgery, I was moved back to the room and waited 5 hrs, hoping the doctor would come as promised. Meanwhile nurses kept asking when am I ready to leave, more and more frequently… When I told them I was hoping to see the doctor to find out how the surgery went, they informed me that he has already left. They assured me that I’ll receive “a letter and post-surgery follow up appointment”. It was getting late and all I wanted at this stage was to go home. I left. Weeks after, no letter. I booked the appointment myself. I arrive on a day to Three Shires to be told “Your appointment was cancelled”. I have not spoken to Dr Von Widekind since. The post-surgery notes that my GP found in the system, had no real information. Until now I don’t know what the diagnosis was or what was done to me. While I left a positive review for the initial consultations with Dr Von Widekind. I must say, I have lost all the faith in him. I’m going to get a second opinion, as my issues are reoccurring, and have not been resolved in any way. Pleaser be cautious.
