Doctor could not spot inflammation after checking and doing ultrasound. I have seen other specialist that helped me treat the problem. Also it is not very easy to get an appointment through NHS. After that I could not get another appointment as I have been told that you have already seen the doctor. I would not recommend him at all. Waste of my time, the problem got worse in the time that I spent going to him. Had to go abroad to treat the problem.

Response from Mr Clemens Von Widekind

The goal of my work is that patients has the best quality of live possible and fully understands her condition. As an expert for pelvic pain I know that pain often disappears after examination and scan, as normal findings offer great reassurance. For patients were the examination and scan do not identify a cause for the symptoms are offered advise for symptom control (eg painrelief contraception, diet etc. ) and are routinely given a "open follow" . This is the option to request a further follow-up for 6 month, if there is no improvement. The advise that this lady receive was unfortunately wrong. The patient has the right to ask for a follow-up, especially if there is no improvement. Further, every patient has the right to request a second opinion. All of the above is part of my routine practice and I am sorry to hear that this did not happen.
