From the first consultation I felt at ease and knew that Mr Theokli was listening to my concerns and then was advising in the best interest for my son. He explained the issues he could see and potential solutions in a non medical way with a drawing so that I understood, and gave me options to consider. My son was nervous before we went into the hospital but the nurses and even receptionist made him feel at ease.
We went ahead with surgery. Spencer hospitals paediatric nurses were great with the preop and I felt informed and as ready as I could have been for his surgery (an adenotonsillectomy).
On the day of surgery again, I felt like I was kept well informed and all of the medical staff we saw were friendly and helpful. The debrief after the surgery was clear and delivered in a human, rather than clinical, way. I felt like all of the people involved in Josh's care that day were really looking out for him. Thanks!
