I'm told CM has now retired and when I heard that, I was sorely disappointed.
I believe CM made my life liveable. Eighteen years ago I had a heart attack and needed a bypass operation. Fortunately, my wife worked at Leeds LGI and knew who to trust. I believe CM was also preferred by my cardiologist, Jimmy Mac. Between them, they got things right. How do I know? I'm still hear today - That's how!
When I asked CM after the operation, 'how long could I expect?' he said ' 0n current evidence, ten years, but forget that, GO OUT AND LIVE YOUR LIFE'. Those words have formed my philosophy of life ever since. Those 18yrs have been the most fulfilling of all.
Look, I know it may all end tomorrow, but that has not stopped me from challenging those who say I should not stretch myself but settle for a quiet sedentary existence. CM was right! Life is for living -love it!!
