I experienced amazing care and attention from Mr Kaliaperumal and the entire neurosurgery team. I was admitted to the Western General Hospital because I was struggling to walk and could not feel my legs. A MRI scan showed I had a meningioma tumour on my spine. Mr Kaliaperumal was very honest with me and took his time to discuss and explain what was involved in operating on me and the risks of a operation (could be paralysed) and the lengthy recovery but also the fact the tumour would paralysis me if he did not operate. I right away felt that he genuinely cared about me and he treated me as an individual, he made me feel like I was the only patient he had. I really felt I was in good hands and I trusted him 110%. I was right to trust him, the operation was a success and the tumour was removed. My recovery has been slow but steady(as he said) Mr Kaliaperumal has encouraged and pushed me during outpatient appointments or phone calls. I can walk again, have my independence and my life back. I am internally grateful to Mr Kaliaperumal and his team
