I came with my teenage daughter who was quite anxious about talking to the DR and she felt comfortable and said we just have to leave him a kind review .Dr Hooch listened really well ,gave choice and options for moving forward.It was a face to face meeting made more useful and productive by having the online conversation before hand.it felt like a much better use of his clinical time and mine .

Dr Gooch, showed great interest in finding out what was wrong with me. He asked questions , listened (most Importantly) and finally summarized . I felt I could trust him and he showed empathy. He treated the whole patient instead of just the symptoms. Thanks Dr Gooch

I have recently spoken to and seen Dr Gooch and was really reassured by him. He listened, suggested options ensuring he considered everything. I felt that he was interested and keen to rule things in and out and offered follow up discussions.

I have seen Dr Gooch a few times. He is an excellent GP, listens very carefully, weighs up concerns and gives very clear guidance. He is knowledgeable, friendly and I totally recommend him.

Dr Gooch graduated from St George's, University of London in 2009 having started his NHS carer as a medical technologist in London. Following Foundation Training in the South West he completed Core Surgical Training in Salisbury (including Membership of the Royal College of Surgeons) before completing GP training in Oxford. Dr Gooch completed his General Practice training in August 2016. Dr Gooch is a Member of the Royal College of General Practitioners. He holds a degree in Applied Biology and has post-graduate training in plastic surgery, ENT and orthopaedic surgery. He is a partner at The Manor Surgery.
Dr Gooch has special interests in primary care surgery and health technology and has led novel digital transformation projects in primary care. He is also interested in complex conditions and social inequalities in health. He is the clinical lead for a local dementia care home and surgical lead at the Manor Surgery.
