I have a Chiari Malformation Mr White operated on me on 26.07 23. My surgery was called Posterior fossa decompression. I had been seeing Mr White for a good few years with regards to the symptoms my chiari was causing. For a long time Mr White told me I was nowhere near surgery (something I was over the moon to hear ). Then for the last couple years Mr White offered me surgery I declined. Due to nerves..Then at the begining of 23 I decided to accept Mr Whites offer. He asked me in to see him. He is by far the most knowledgeable, calm, empathetic and honest clinician I have ever spoken to. He always speaks to me in a respectful manner and never belittles my concerns or comments. I have never had surgery before and knew that if I had not had Mr White as my surgeon I would never have gone ahead with the op. I also found Mr Whites secretary Lauren to be professional, helpful and incredibly efficient. The day of the op the pre op team were all lovely and from what I remember the theatre team were also efficient, professional and friendly. On the post op ward D9 the care was outstanding. Mr White came highly recommended to me and I can 100% recommend him to anyone else. It's early days yet in my recovery but Mr White I think you may well have given me my life back. Thank you.
