I wish to thank Barrie and his whole team who gave me such excellent care at QMC. Everything was explained to me in a way l could understand, l was aware of the complex surgery l was to undergo.
I now feel a new person having suffered back pain for the last 40 years. Post op. My right leg returned to normal. I can stand up and walk straight. I am not incontinent.
I’m taking things slowly as advised. The difference the operation has made to my life is immense and the alternative unthinkable.
At no time did l feel unduly worried even though l knew the risks to having the operating ion. I had full confidence in Barrie. I respected the Derby doctor’s comment when he said he hadn’t the expertise to do the operation and Barrie White had the expertise.
I could not think of a better outcome. Thank you.
