Before i got refefred to Mr Barrie White i was left with know answers, reasurrance or treatment options. I was diagnosed with a Chiari Malformation and was seen by other care professionals, that didnt even acknowledge the chiari malformation was even there. They never listened they just assumed! (even the letter after appointment never had all correct info on) I felt deflated and nearly gave up on all hopes. Afterall i didnt know what was going on myslef. All i could understand was the headaches pain and dizzyness(and many more) was and still are way out my control. (always been an active person) Anyway the moment i met Mr Barrie White i just new he was/is a good Neurosurgeon and person. He let me do the talking and listened really well. His communication skills are outstounding. Even though my symptoms are not effectivley treated as yet and brain surgery may be the outcome (eventually) ive got my glimmer of hope back and hes made the connections for me to be referred to therapy based treatments. (pain clinic, acupunture). Hes also helped me cope emotionally by telling me about the Ann Conroy site. Where you can get to listen to other peoples storys and whats helped and worked best for them. What i liked the most about Mr Barrie white was how he took into account my views and the lengths hes gone to help me, understanding how it effects my quality of life. Thank you Janna Shaw
