I saw Mr Arvin yesterday. I have two displaced discs that he is considering an operation for. I always find him affable and professional. He never hurries you or appears stressed in any way. This puts you at ease. It was the end of a long day for him but I felt he was looking after me as well as his first patient. If only all Consultants were like him ….it makes the patient feel reassured they are in the best hands and you leave hospital knowing you are having the best care possible. I’m scared to death of an operation on my spine but should it come to that I know I will be well looked after by a true professional.
