Previous to meeting Mr Chaudhary I had been sent to A&E requiring urgent neck surgery to prevent immanent upper and lower limb paralysis. Due to the specialist nature of the surgery required, my hospital urgently referred me to a second hospital who surprisingly treated me poorly and turned me away with an incorrect diagnosis. I subsequently sought a further consultation, where I was again treated unprofessionally, not listened to and was told the surgery I needed was too risky and likely to be unsuccessful. I was left feeling dismissed, unheard, and utterly devastated. I had given up and believed my life as I knew it at 44 years old would be over. Thankfully my family found Mr Chaudhary and I then had the privilege of meeting this remarkable, talented and highly skilled surgeon. From the outset of Mr Chaudhary’s welcome and consultation, he was the consummate professional who took my condition seriously. He listened to me and explained my situation in a way I could understand. He talked me through my options and the risks so I could make an informed, un-rushed decision. Mr Chaudhary made time to discuss my concerns and answer all my questions. I was so relieved to meet a surgeon with such a high level of expertise, empathy and genuine care that it brought me to tears. I finally knew I was in safe hands. I had complete confidence in him, his approach and skills. He genuinely wanted to do the best for me. I cannot adequately convey my relief at the success of the surgery (C5/6 C6/7 ACDF & integrated anterior plate) and the outstanding support provided by all the staff at the Manor Hospital. Particularly the additional support provided by Mr Graham Barker and Mandy (Mr Chaudhary’s secretary) who has always been so helpful throughout. Mr Chaudhary also spoke with me after my surgery and explained everything that had been done. I have been surprised by how well I have been recovering and am so pleased I underwent this surgery with Mr Chaudhary. I highly recommend Mr Chaudhary and can’t praise him enough; he and his team were outstanding, thank you, Demi.
