Written by a private patient
4th November 2022

I am a 74 year old male, have never had anaesthetic or spent time in hospital and was very stressed at the prospect of undergoing surgery to address my spinal stenosis at L3/4 and L4/5. I spent months of research to find the best neurosurgeon and came across Mr B Roy Chaudhary' s profile which clearly showed him to be at the top of his game. From initial consultation, when Roy fully explained to my wife and I the options available to me and their risks and benefits, to my last day as a private patient at The Nuffield Manor hospital, Oxford, Roy engaged easily with us. He has a kind but authoritative manner and I felt fully part of the decision-making process. He demonstrated his clear concern to achieve the best outcome for his patient which remained as his driving priority throughout. Roy has brought together a marvellous team namely, Graham Barker, anaesthetist and Mandy Troth, secretary, who all made my procedure (bi-lateral keyhole decompression surgery) work like clockwork. My wife and I do not have the words to say how highly we rate Roy, both as a very kind man and a top neurosurgeon and would recommend him in a heartbeat. Steve Jackson
