From the constant pain from my arthritic knee, and the fear of the knee replacement surgery, I am now looking forward to getting back to a life of all the activites I'v been missing. My gardening, my zumba classes and daily walks.
This turnaround is all due to Mr Parkar's expertise, bedside manner and assurances that I will be able to get back to my old normal. He instiled confidence from the very first examanation and honestly answered all my questions and truthfully told me what to expect after the operation.
In hospital I was tretaed extremenly well by all the amazing staff even though I was in for just one night.
Having agreed to a spinal injection and be awake for the surgery I was fearful of the unknown. The consultant anaesthetist, Dr Bawa, was equaly amazing and settled all my fears so that I looked forward to the experience and a positive outcome.
All in all I am so gateful that I was able to have this surgery at the Spire and meet the amazing team that worked on my knee.
Seven weeks on and I went driving today.
