I had been suffering with a facet cyst on my spine which was touching my spinal nerve for some months before visiting Mr Ranganathan and was unable to walk very far without extreme nerve pain. He was able to diagnose my problem immediately and suggested surgery but I was about to go on holiday so Mr. Ranganathan suggested a spinal steroid injection to help with the pain. At all times he explained everything very clearly to me and I had great confidence in him from our first meeting. After my holiday Mr. Ranganathan was able to fit me into his busy schedule very quickly for surgery. Everything was explained to me very clearly and I was shown the results of both my MRI and CT scans which further gave me a good understanding of what needed to be done. The surgery lasted about three and a half hours and was extremely successful as I was free of the chronic nerve pain immediately after and was only suffering from discomfort from the actual operation and within 36 hours I was able to walk freely (albeit slowly) along the corridor. I have no hesitation in recommending Mr Ranganathan. He is a very pleasant and friendly person as well as being a wonderful surgeon!
