I am in my early 60's and had been suffering from Extreme Lumbar Stenosis for the past 2 years with the condition steadily worsening. I had hardly any sensation below my waist both front and back. In fact NO sensation at all down both legs to my feet. My Spinal Consultant Surgeon referred me to Professor Ranganathan for the Surgery, reassuring me that Mr Ranganathan was highly experienced in this 'Tricky Procedure'. Additionally, he is a lovely man who answered all my questions both before and after the Operation. Following my Operation, Professor Ranganathan told me it was "the most difficult Operation I have done, this year (Dec. 2019). I had full sensation return to my legs, front, back and feet even before I was back in the ward. I am very grateful to him for rescuing me from what I felt was a lost cause. I cannot praise him and his wonderful team enough.
