I had a hip replacement operation at Guys on 10th September 2020, all appointments were face to face and not rushed. Obviously the amazing Mr Malhi has performed a lot of hip operations, but he never made it feel like it was just routine, he explained I had small bones and he used a very small fitting, this could have been missed,his manner at all times reassured me, and I feel confident that if I had had or do have any problems with hip I could get an appointment to sort it out. Mr Malhi has given me my walking, running, dancing leg back, as without this operation and its complete success none of this would be possible. Four months after the op I was able to do a 2km jog and when Park run resumed in July 2021 I went back to the Saturday 5 km ( time today 20th November 21 was 34.18 so very pleased) I have no pain at all and no limp. I cannot thank him and the team at Guys enough, this is NHS at its best I do not believe that going private would have given me anything better. Thanks again Marta Kurtyanek
