Shockingly prescribed a total hip replacement with no chance of a hip resurface alternative in 2014.
I play squash on a daily basis so a hip replacement would have changed my world.
I therefore delayed any surgery for another 5 years until I could hardly walk.
In December 2018 met another surgeon who said there was absolutely no reason why I could not have a hip resurfacing procedure. I immediately had the operation.
1 year later, I am playing pain free, full mobility squash at county level.
I do feel Mr Mr Hashemi- Nejad's advice caused 5 years of unnecessary pain and fear.
My advice, is to get a second opinion on any advice this man gives you, it could be life changing for the better.
