I had my hip replaced with Mr Aresh Hashemi-Nejad after several years of treatment under other consultants. He was top class and changed my life as a young adult. He is funny kind and I felt lucky to have him see me

I had read the reviews and went to see Mr Hashemi-Nejad with some degree of caution because I believe reviews are a much better way of assessing a doctor than his biography which is very good. I can see lots of positive comments as well as negative comments and so wanted to keep an open opinion. I can see where lots of people are coming from because he was very dated in his opinion in my view. I had read a lot of information on new treatments and he dismissed them all and practically told me they were not worth trying. I dont understand why doctors behave like this because it seems doctors in the US are much more open to trying to improve things with new treatments and doctors like Mr Hashemi-Nejad should be open to evaluating them and not simply dismiss them. Many of the old treatments he recommended to me is what led me to be so disabled in the first place!

Dr Nejad has cared for my daughter through her whole teen life. He is a phenomenal doctor and has helped my child beyond words. My daughter has several chronic illnesses of which one causes may joint issues. She dislocated her hip several times a day before her surgeries. Dr Nejad was incredibly thorough and precise with all testing and imaging, meaning we got quick results and dealt with the problems soon as possible. My daughter has had 3 hip operations performed by Dr Nejad and she had come out of all of them far better. She is in far less pain, has more mobility and rare dislocations. Dr Nejad has kept a close eye on my daughter and had been a brilliant doctor. Whenever there was an issue we were always listened to and given all the options to discuss and decide the correct path to take. He has also kept the door open, so if my daughter is to need any further hip surgeries he will help with her care and when possible do what he can. Dr Nejad has helped my daughter more than I can describe.

Shockingly prescribed a total hip replacement with no chance of a hip resurface alternative in 2014. I play squash on a daily basis so a hip replacement would have changed my world. I therefore delayed any surgery for another 5 years until I could hardly walk. In December 2018 met another surgeon who said there was absolutely no reason why I could not have a hip resurfacing procedure. I immediately had the operation. 1 year later, I am playing pain free, full mobility squash at county level. I do feel Mr Mr Hashemi- Nejad's advice caused 5 years of unnecessary pain and fear. My advice, is to get a second opinion on any advice this man gives you, it could be life changing for the better.

We went to see Mr Nejad in Bushey. He was quite dismissive of my daughters problems. She is in a wheelchair and struggles to walk and he suggested there was nothing wrong with her whereas a doctor in Oxford diagnosed her with a problem and operated. She is now much better and you must always get a second opinion. Mr Nejad was not the one for us.
