In Feb 2018 I suffered a heary attackwhile on the Gower Peninsular. I was taken by a friend to Morriston Hospital, and given immidiate angioplasty, with 1 stent inserted, to stabilise me. Two days later, I was introduced to Mr Youhana. who explained that due to my condition, I would be kept in hospital, as I had an imment 30% risk of another attack if I were to be released immediately and the actions need to correct this consdition, including sketches of the location of the problems. The operation was planned for about a week later, though. due to unforeseen circumstances, it was delayed for several weeks. In the event, the operation required 6 bypasses. It is testimony to the skill of Mr Youhana and his team that one week after the operation, the ward sister informed me that I was fit to be sent home alone. As it was a Friday, I had to wait for the Registrar visit on the following Monda before being signed off. ( It is possible that this could have been accelerated by the Ward sister wanting to get rid of me; heartfelt thanks to the sisters and staff of Cyril Evans, and other wards, who cared for me, in particular the poor young lady who had to dispose of my beard.) I have since been in rude health; and with due respect, hope to never need geir services again A courteous, rightly well-respected surgeon. My thanks.. .
