I was admitted for a MAKO robotic total knee replacement in the last week of January and haven’t looked back. Since first meeting Mr Carrothers I have felt completely at ease and assured that I had chosen the right surgeon for the job. My knee was a mess following years of sporting abuse and multiple surgeries making the job more complicated than usual. I needn’t have worried as Mr Carrothers has performed wonders on my knee and I am already back to static cycling, driving and walking unaided (personal note - make sure you keep up with your exercises post surgery to aid recovery!) Prof Razeen Mahroof, my anaesthetist was also superb and the sedation followed by spinal block were faultless as was my recovery from surgery. I cannot thank Mr Carrothers and his team enough.
