I was anxious about surgery, and whether I would get good mobility again afterwards, to continue with an active life. After asking a number of friends and colleagues for recommendations, (and being aware of the current NHS waiting times), I went to see Mr Carrothers. He listened, allayed my fears and gave me options for surgery, which he discussed in full, giving me the confidence to go ahead. All the care received prior to, during and after surgery since has been excellent. The post-op physio was pro active, but worth it. My recovery from my Mako partial knee replacement has been rapid and has left me able to return to most activities within 6 weeks. Golf is on the horizon again shortly.
