Dr. Kelkar performed radical prostatectomy on me by robotic surgery in February 2019, at University College Hospital at Westmoreland Street (the drop-down menu on this page does not list this address, strangely).
By chance, it was also Dr. Kelkar who did my pre-operation consultation.
At the consultation, Dr. Kelkar went over the test results and scan with me and explained everything clearly. He answered my questions patiently, reassured me, and made sure I did not feel rushed.
I saw him briefly the morning of my afternoon surgery. I was pretty frazzled, but he was again very calming. And as for the surgery itself, all I can do is state the results. Once the initial couple of months of recovery were behind me, I improved quickly and pretty soon had virtually no loss of continence. In general I have felt as good as before the sickness. I will always be grateful for his pre-surgery care and, especially, his obvious virtuosity as a surgeon.
