I had spent two years with poor left arm range of movement and considerable pain in my upper arm and elbow.Mr Yewlett gave me a thorough examination and x-ray, then explained a "reverse shoulder replacement" would be the most suitable in my case and explained the clinical reasons for his advice. I am so glad that I accepted it. My procedure was performed on 17th July 2022. During his post-operative visit to my hospital bed, Mr Yewlett informed me why my pain had extended down to my elbow: my bone damage had trapped a nerve, leading to me experiencing arthritic-type pains. Additionally to his planned procedure, Mr Yewlett kindly removed the errant bone extension too. Now, merely three months post-op, I have recovered almost all of my range of movement; able to wash my hair with both hands for the first time in three years, for example! I am entirely pain-free, have an increased level of self-confidence and have returned to the keep-fit class that I had to abandon three years ago when the pain became so intense. I have also begun ballroom dancing lessons, when I could not have imagined being able to hold my left arm so high only a few months ago. Throughout his care for my case, Mr Yewlett has been so ready to answer questions, patiently and professionally and share with me x-ray results etc. I consider myself to be very fortunate to have been referred to this sugeon. Mr Yewlett, thank you for facilitating such changes to my happiness and lifestyle. I have no hesitation in recommending future patients to ask to be placed under your care.
