I've suffered from Crohn's disease for many years; however, my flare-ups increased this year, which deteriorated my health, and I was referred to Dr Alex Hotouras. I met Dr. Alex Hotouras in July at Whipps Cross Hospital and he booked in my surgery for September. During the appointment Dr. Alex took his time to explain all the details about the surgery, answering all my questions and concerns. Unfortunately, I was admitted to Whipps Cross hospital A&E three days after with an intestinal obstruction and other complications. Luckily, Dr Alex Hotouras's team was on duty. He decided to do the survey on the following day. Prior to the surgery he had a conversation with myself and my wife, where he explained the possible complications of the surgery due to high level of the inflammation and what it would consist of. Through the conversation Dr Alex was very kind, caring and empathetic. I felt positive and confident as I was in very good hands! He called my wife straight after the surgery which was very much appreciated. Dr. Alex saved my life because as it turns out I also had a rupture in my intestines. There are no words to express how grateful I am to have been so well looked after by Dr Alex before, during and after my surgery. My family and I will always be grateful for the amazing work Dr Alex did and how pleasant and caring he was throughout the time I was in hospital. I feel lucky to be able to continue my consultations with Dr Alex Hotouras and feel thankful to have my reversal surgery with him next year. If I could, I would give Dr Alex Hotouras 5000 stars!! May God Bless him and I wish him all the very best!!!
