My new knee is a year old but I feel ten years younger. Not only can I scamper up and down stairs without a thought, I get can get in and out of the bath - something missing from my life for years. Walking over the downs with the dog does not require assessment of every step. It has given me confidence to take on new challenges.
The journey has not been easy but, when the time comes for the other knee to be dealt with, I will be calling on Adrian Fairbank, whose skill and kindness and honesty were outstanding
