Mr Adrian Fairbank is an excellent, caring and highly professional doctor. He has recently done total knee replacement surgery on both my knees, with an interval of 12 weeks between the two operations. The surgery was robot assisted.
Mr Fairbank had previously, some 11 years ago, done an arthroscopy on one knee. He advised me to wait for knee replacement operations until I really felt it was necessary. When the time came, he talked me through the options for the operations with great care.
I cannot praise him too highly. He is an exceptional surgeon. My recovery both times was swift, with very little pain. Within 3 weeks, I was able to go back to my favourite sport of swimming, and a week or so later was doing Pilates and also going to aquarobics classes. I am walking better than I have for many years.
I am full of gratitude and would have no hesitation in recommending him to anyone with knee problems.
