Following an initial consultation with Mr Howard in June 2021 to treat an ugly, lumpy varicose vein across the front of my thigh that extended down to just below the outside of the knee, he successfully performed foam sclerotherapy to the vein in September 2021 and I am so delighted with the results! The area treated is now completely smooth with only fading light bruising evident at this stage of recovery. Two further treatments involving microsclerotherapy to remove multiple thread veins on both legs have now been completed by Mr Howard and again, I am so pleased with the results so far with vast improvement already to the appearance of both legs; it will take a while for the areas treated to settle down completely so patience is required! The thread veins on both legs were particularly bad as a result of dinghy racing without protective padding, being kicked by a horse and major knee surgery following a ski accident. Prior to all treatments Mr Howard took the time to fully explain the procedures, aftercare and anticipated timescales for recovery. Throughout I have found Mr Howard highly professional, totally competent, very efficient and also very approachable and kind. This also applies to his wonderful team of nurses who were present and assisted him during all of my treatments. When I had my initial consultation with Mr Howard I was extremely anxious due to having been recently diagnosed with several conditions and was experiencing some worrying symptoms that had not been satisfactorily addressed by my GP. Mr Howard was kind enough to patiently listen to me at length and after thorough leg scans and various tests, referred me to a neurologist who then referred me to a neurophysiologist for further tests that confirmed my unexplained symptoms were due to post-shingles complications; this ruled out any more serious conditions which was a huge relief to me. I have complete confidence in Mr Howard and would not hesitate to return to him for further treatment should this be required in the future.
