Dr khan performed a circumcision which healed very well with minimal scarring. That said, I asked for a partial circumcision and in the course of the consultation he convinced me that a full circumcision would be better. This decision was made within 5 minutes of me entering the surgery. I asked for him to perform the circumcision as “loose” as possible since I wanted to retain as much foreskin as possible. The result (now 6 months post procedure) is a very tight circumcision which is quite uncomfortable when fully erect. Quite disappointing given how irreversible the procedure is... The Leyton Clinic is also quite old and untidy with boxes of equipment stored in the procedure room. Very unprofessional.

Response from Mr A R Khan

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review, and I am glad that the wound has healed very well with minimal scarring, but I am sorry to hear that you are not fully satisfied the outcome of the procedure. I do not advise partial removal of the foreskin as it will not work for phimosis (tight foreskin) in my 24 years’ experience. Partial removal of the foreskin is not recommended by The British Association of Urological Surgeons (BAUS). Scarring may return in the foreskin remnant and the cosmetic results, particularly during erection, are often unacceptable as published on BAUS websites accessed on 3 June 2018 - https://www.baus.org.uk/patients/conditions/13/tight_foreskin_phimosis Regarding Leyton Clinic, CQC inspections in relation to infection prevention and control are essential to ensure providers are complying with the requirements of the Health and Social Care Act 2008: Code of Practice. Leyton clinic has fulfilled the above requirements of its operative theatre. There is a dedicated theatre room for minor surgical procedures and circumcisions at Leyton Healthcare at their 4th floor premises. Our website has published the blog in 2016 to show the photos of this minor theatre. https://londoncircumcisioncentre.co.uk/blog-circumcision/2016/9/7/hg3jtm4ojg5psp57c4bu9hup08bayq (accessed 3 June 2018). There is a separate storeroom beside the minor operative theatre room and only the equipment required for the procedure is brought in the room. If you are still concerned with the outcome/recovery, please contact me for further management. You may have scar tissue which can become tight during erection, and this can be treated easily. Please contact to my secretary for the FREE follow-up appointment. We would like to make sure that any issues are fixed so that the care we provide is excellent and the experience positive for you. Best wishes Dr. Khan
