My name is Sharon Sansom, I first met Miss Sasha Due on the 12th of January 2015 when she explained my diagnosis. As I expect not many woman or men process what they are being told, as in my case I felt I had been hit by a train.! Miss Dua put me at ease by explaining in great depth what was going to happen with a clear medical package I could understand, go home and digest. She also included my husband Martyn and answered all his questions and concerns with empathy. At that time I imagined I could handle this illness alone and seemed to be shutting loved ones out. Miss Dua seemed to understand all my anxieties and worries, and I'm 100% sure she must have heard the same questions from many of her patients. If you are unfortunately diagnosed with this devastating condition, I honestly couldn't have had a more professional and experienced surgeon caring for me, she makes each and every patient feel like her only one. My husband and I can't express how grateful we are to her and all the medical staff in her team and every other department in Broomfield that were part of my treatment and on going treatment. Thank you all from the bottom of our hearts. The NHS is a national treasure and all those who work and contribute to it.
