My mum was recently diagnosed with stage 2 breast cancer. The treatment and care she has received has been second to none. Sascha has always been kind to mum as well as looking out for me and my dad through this scary and nerve racking experience. During consultations Sascha was always open honest kind compassionate but most of all she was happy and buoyant. She was happy to answer any questions and we never felt rushed or kept in the dark about any information. Sascha came round to see mum on the ward the morning of the surgery. She said that the op could take up to 2 hours and she could be gone for 3. Sascha suggested me and dad went in to town to take our minds off it. I obviously looked doubtful as Sascha asked for my mobile number. I was expecting the ward to call when mum was back. I was gobsmacked when Sascha personally called me as soon as the surgery was over. She reassured me that mum was fine and the op had been straight forward and successful. Thankfully mums cancer hasn't spread and we are now waiting for her to begin radiotherapy but on leaving her last appointment Sascha said anyone of us could contact her if we needed to ask her anything at any time. I cannot fault Sascha or the rest of her team.
