Dr. Roux is a member of my Oncology team at the Churchill Hospital, Oxford. She has been looking after me for chemotherapy....six sessions so far for 3c ovarian cancer. I attended an appointment with my sister who had mentioned that my exceptionally severe pain extreme vomiting for hours on end had made me feel close to suicide and in real danger of discontinuing my treatment which was at the pre operative stage. I was distraught and am no quitter but... Dr. Roux prescribed a much better drug for me and I had my chemotherapy in a lower dose over a far longer session. This allowed me to undergo three operations, one MAJOR performed by Mr. Tozzi and I am currently in remission. Dr. Roux is very warm, reassuring and friendly and one feels at ease immediately. She correctly diagnosed my bowel issues as cancer on rather than in the bowel and I have since had an end to end rectosigmoid anastomosis rather than the dreaded colostomy bag. Her advice reassured me during a couple of emergency admissions even though she was not in attendance because I trust her implicitly. Very highly recommended.
