I attended Gynae A&E at Queens this morning after months of intermittent post menopausal bleeding and to be frank, I wasn’t expecting to get anywhere because of it being the weekend. My fears were unfounded because the first Doctor that I saw totally listened and understood the problems that I was having and went off to speak with the Consultant who was on call. To my delight, the Consultant turned out to be Miss Wuntakal who I’m actually under but have only met over the telephone! I found Miss Wuntakal to be extremely friendly and approachable and felt very comfortable speaking with her about my issues. I didn’t feel rushed and today, for the first time, I actually feel like I’m getting somewhere. I have been waiting to have an urgent operation for ten months now and have felt quite worried but having met Miss Wuntakal face to face I now feel more comfortable about having my operation as it has been very hard speaking with a Consultant over the telephone about such intimate details. I look forward to seeing Miss Wuntakal again very soon!
