I had terrible care from her at my local hospital. Didn't remove or identify fully the extent of endometriosis, failed to recognise I had adenomyosis, wouldn't acknowledge the severe pain I was in especially during my prolonged periods. I had no scans, blood tests and had to have two surgeries instead of one as she had changed the plan during my first surgery without my consent. She also shouted at me in the recovery area after my surgery as I dared to ask a question, she did this again after my second operation which left me in tears and the other medical staff horrified. Follow ups were terrible with her trying to diagnose me with IBS and not listening to me at all during my appts or my mum who I bought with me for support. In hindsight I would have made a formal complaint about her and her level of care. I later learnt from a nurse at my GP surgery that she was known to have a bad reputation locally. I had to endure her 'treatment ' for 2.5 years as gps refused to allow me to see a specialist. Thankfully I'm now being looked after by a properly trained endometriosis specialist at an accredited endometriosis centre and couldn't be happier with the fantastic consultant I see. Any patient who is suspected of having endometriosis please see an accredited endometriosis specialist and don't allow a general gynaecologist to go anywhere near you
