I visited Ms Perovic with suspected endometriosis in 2022. Having explained all my symptoms, she immediately noted that she did not think I had endometriosis but took me for a scan regardless. I had the scan, in which she noted my ovaries were in great shape and as expected, no endometriosis. As of early 2023, I’ve actually had multiple other scans AND surgery to confirm that I have stage 3 endometriosis and adenomyosis, with the worst effected area being my ovaries.
I’m unsure what led her to the conclusion that I did not have endometriosis, or why she was so sure I did not before the scan, but a misdiagnosis of over a year has surely made it worse and I’m now having to have extensive surgery to clear everything out.
