Following angiography at St Georges i was informed that i was being referred to prof Jahangiri for consideration of CABG.. not what i wanted to hear.. I contacted my private health insurer and they agreed to move forward privately.. within 7 days i met the prof at St Anthony's.. she immediately put me at ease and the op was scheduled for four days later !!! Like another reviewer, St Anthony's was not doing cardio so i was booked in at Wellington North....
The prof's secretary Nicole was a star at keeping me informed and calm, i booked in and everything went smoothly.. The prof and her anaesthetist briefed me thoroughly and the staff at Wellington were excellent..
The prof saw me every day during my eight day stay, even calling at midnight to check on progress after a small setback..
I believe i had the best surgeon for my condition, without doubt and have total faith in her....
if you are lucky enough to have her as your surgeon , relax .. you are in the best hands.
