I was deeply disappointed by how poor my care was under Dr Jahangiri. For all her accolades I unfortunately felt like a number instead of a patient. She took around 5 minutes to see me despite being under her care for 3 weeks and it was impossible to speak to her again. I felt looked down on and spoken down to as a patient despite being in need of major heart surgery. She made decisions on a whim without communicating to me and didn't have the courtesy to convey any of her surgical decisions to me in person or even send someone from her team. In the end I would find out about my diagnosis and plan from the nurses who were kind enough to relay information to an obviously stressed and worried man. I'm sorry to say I wouldn't trust Dr Jahangiri and it would be best to find another clinician. It's sad that she's on top ruining the reputation for I'm sure many other great cardio surgeons at St George's. It's a shame but I'm leaving this review as I wouldn't wish the nightmare my family and I went through on anyone else.
