I first met Miss Lucy Khan following my diagnosis of grade 2 primary breast cancer in January 2019. From the onset Lucy was friendly, patient, understanding and confident. All great attributes at this very stressful time. Following my surgery, Lucy visited me whilst I was still on the recovery bay. She explained how the surgery 'went as planned, with no unexpected events' and reassured me for the future (as far as possible). I think it important to say that, as a patient, you hang on to such positive feedback as you constantly seek reassurrance in this dreadful situation. I'm now 8 weeks post surgery. My wounds have healed well and I am pleased to say because the incisions were 'cosmetically' placed the change in breast appearance is barely noticeable. So much better than the ugly scars my mother had from the same surgery 23years ago! Excellent care all around. And all as an NHS patient. I actually feel very lucky.Thank you Lucy!
