I had a breast reduction over a year ago I suffered from back ache and body embarrassment for years( I visited a chiropractor regularly). Getting clothes to fit was a nightmare and as for bras, well I had to have what was on offer at the time. There was rarely anything in my size in the few specialist shops that I visited, so they either had to be ordered in or I had to shop online. As I got older my breast looked matronly and pendulous. I decided to visit my GP and enquire about having a breast reduction. My GP referred me and I was told my BMI was too high and I needed to loose weight, I was wearing a size 14 pair of trousers at the time! I realised after this that I would have to go privately and started researching surgeons online. I came across Lisa Sacks and after reading reviews about her, and looking at her web site, decided to book an appointment to discuss a breast reduction. When I met Lisa I knew she was the person to perform my surgery. My partner came with me and Lisa directed the consultation at both of us and took the time to find out about our interests and lifestyle. I was immediately put at ease and fully informed on the procedure she was going to use, Lisa is the only surgeon who uses the vertical scar technique on larger breast reductions. This means you have a better recovery and the procedure is safer. On our second visit Lisa went through what to expect on the day of surgery, how to prepare yourself both mentally and physically, showed us pictures of previous patients before and after the operation and sent us home with detailed literature on what to do after the operation and details about your recovery. Lisa also took pictures of my breasts to start recording my progress. On the day of my surgery I was settled into my room and Lisa came to see me to reiterate procedures and I was visited by the anaesthetist who explained what was going to happen prior to surgery. When I was taken down to theatre I felt fully informed about what was going to happen me and I felt relaxed. When I came round I was surprised at how comfortable and pain free I felt. I had prepared myself for much more discomfort. I had a comfortable night and was well attended to by the wonderful nursing staff. Lisa kept my partner informed on how the operation had gone and how I was doing, she personally called him! Prior to discharge Lisa came to check and change my dressings and sent my home with gifts which I thought was a lovely personal touch. I spent the first few days resting and followed Lisa’s instructions on the recovery process. Lisa rang me after a few days to check all was well. I was comfortable and soon a week had gone by and I was back visiting Lisa for my dressings to be removed and my first follow up. All had gone well another picture was taken and my next appointment booked for 3 months time. I went back to work 2 and half weeks later and have never looked back. It has been a life changing journey for me I can now exercise regularly and most importantly I don't need to see my chiropractor anymore and have no back pain! Buying clothes is no longer a chore and buying bras is now a pleasure. I have Lisa Sacks to thank for this as she is extremely passionate about her patients well being and her work.

3 years after a road traffic accident i had bad scaring on my lower leg, i had previous corrective surgery on NHS but was very disappointed with the result,so i went to see Lisa Sacks with not much hope,how wrong was i. Lisa recommended i had a tissue expander put in to stretch the good tissue by my scaring. the procedure was performed by Lisa herself and i visited the hospital every 2 weeks to have the expander inflated, each time performed by Lisa. after 3 months i had enough tissue to perform the operation. The operation was a huge success and i feel Lisa has given me my life back, before that i had no social life as i hated my scaring so much, i wouldnt go out, had no confidence at all, i became depressed and needed counselling. Now even afer 2 months following the procedure i am a different person, she has turned the light back on for my life. Lisa always made me feel like a person not just another patient, she is very friendly and welcoming, she got to know me and my family. I would look forward to my day out at Bristol and seeing Lisa, she is so caring and compassionate, she even gave me her mobile number and said i could ring her anytime if i had any problems. I would highly recommend Lisa for any plastic surgery.Thanks to her i feel confident enough to now wear shorts when i go abroad in 2 weeks which is something i thought i would never do again

Having suffered with back, shoulder & neck pain for most of my adult life, due to the largeness of my breasts, it was such a relief to meet Miss Sacks in 2007. I warmed to her immediately. She listened to and sympathised with my experiences - I have never met such a caring doctor. After having a breast reduction, I can now buy clothes which fit and on some occasions, even go without a bra! Her after care, even 6 years on, is superb. This lady has changed my whole life for the better and I cannot recommend her highly enough. Please don't hesitate - ring her today.

I have recently had a Gynecomastia operation with LIsa Sacks who was recomended to me by my GP. From consultation through to aftercare my experience has been amazing and the results are far beyond what i expeceted. The staff at the hoispital were great and Lisa really likes to get to know you and nothing is too much trouble. If anybody is unsure if they should go for this surgery as i was then i would recomend they go see Lisa, they wont regret it! My life has changed forever, I'm like a new man. Should have done it years ago!
