I wish I had heard about The McCarthy Clinic sooner as Dr Catherine and her nurse were both absolutely brilliant, professional, understanding and considerate. I've wanted an anal skin tag removed since I was 18 which it seemed would/could not be removed either on the NHS or without GA privately (nonsense). It's effected my intermit relationships and is something I've hated for 20 years. From the moment I met Dr Catherine she made me feel total at ease and agreed she could perform the removal without GA (unlike spire) and in clinic. She explained the procedure openly and honestly and made me feel completely at ease and happy. The procedure was quick and painless and I drove home after with no issues at all. Dr Catherine advised on the healing process, when to take meds and numbing cream and what to expect in the week following surrounding healing. Thankfully I healed even better than I hoped for (no doubt down to her handy work) and didn't need pain relief at all. Just day 3 was a little sore as part of the skin healing process but other than that it was perfect. All I can say is that I wish I had met Dr Catherine years before.I wouldn't hesitate in recommending her to anyone needed surgery down below. She really listens and is a great advocate for sensitive personal issues that need addressing.
