She treated me previously when she removed two large polyps which were potentially cancerous. She's kind, funny, and very gentle. The procedure yesterday (22 November) was difficult at times but although of course uncomfortable there was no pain, and today I'm fully back to normal.
I relayed a complaint I'd had the first time I had a colonoscopy (which was NOT against her) when, having been given a possible 50/50 diagnosis of cancer and in a state of shock, I was approached by a Macmillan nurse who "wanted a chat", which I felt was totally inappropriate. She listened to me and was sympathetic to the distress I would have greeted it with. It proved not to be cancer in the end.
If I had to have another procedure in the future I would hope she would be the doctor who treated me.
