Dr Donnellan removed my gallbladder on the NHS Two days ago on Gardner Ward at the Conquest Hospital in Hastings. She is a nice lady and did a good job. So far , so good. Thank you very much

It has been many years since Miss Donnellan operated on me and saved my life, in fact it was twice within a twelve months period. I was diagnosed with Crohns disease in December 2011 and subsequently become very ill in early 2012. Consequently in the February 2012 I became so ill Miss Donnellan operated on me for 7 hours, repairing my perforated bowel and repairing some of the disease in the large intestine. I woke up from this serious operation to find that I had been fitted with a colostomy bag, which took some getting used to. Then in February 2012 I was operated on by the same consultant where the bag was removed. I have to say in the seven years since I have been able to live a good life all be it with medication I take on a daily basis. The care that Miss Donnellan showed to me was beyond reason. Her peoples skill and compassion was exceptional. She sat next to me and put her hand on my leg and said we need to operate Urgently. I felt at ease with the compassion she showed.
