In 2015 I was admitted to Southmead Hospital with a handful of serious illnesses one of which was lung cancer. My consultant organised all tests and CT scans which followed with intermittent meetings with most of the cardiothoracic surgical team based at the BRI, one of which was Eveline Internullo. The cancer was an early cancer and in 2016 I selected surgery rather than other options. I had also had a heart attack, the worse type of kidney stone, vascular problems, and non related breathing problems so surgery had more risks than normal but I waned it out. Mrs Eveline Internullo, a member of the surgical team, could not have been more helpful. She always had a smile, went through all details of the cancer and the surgery, and answered any questions given. Eveline Internullo attends the cancer clinic at Southmead and I have seen her there for regular checkups. I could not have been in the hands of anyone more caring, cheerful, and knowledgeable in what was a stressful time.
