In 2015 I was admitted to Southmead Hospital with a handful of serious illnesses one of which was lung cancer. My consultant organised all tests and CT scans which followed with intermittent meetings with most of the cardiothoracic surgical team based at the BRI, one of which was Eveline Internullo. The cancer was an early cancer and in 2016 I selected surgery rather than other options. I had also had a heart attack, the worse type of kidney stone, vascular problems, and non related breathing problems so surgery had more risks than normal but I waned it out. Mrs Eveline Internullo, a member of the surgical team, could not have been more helpful. She always had a smile, went through all details of the cancer and the surgery, and answered any questions given. Eveline Internullo attends the cancer clinic at Southmead and I have seen her there for regular checkups. I could not have been in the hands of anyone more caring, cheerful, and knowledgeable in what was a stressful time.

My husband had appointment with this lady on 22nd. Of March . After a wedge reaction of his lung , we were told by miss internullo ,that the results would be ready . My husband had endured a massive operation 9months earlier to remove his bladder and prostrate .so of course we were so stressed to find if the cancer had spread to his lungs because a c t scan had shown white spots on his lungs . His appointment was at 15 .20 .22.march . We got to the hospital approx 14.15 hours .we were told to go to gate 12 .we were then told the doctor wanted a X-ray at gate 18 . Then go back to gate 12 .and let staff on reception we were back.which we did . We then sat in the waiting room till 16 .50 . When a apporched reception to ask how much longer we should expect to wait .after about 10 minutes ,we were asked to go in a side room , were we were told that miss internullo had gone home . Both my husband and I could not believe that on the most important day of our lives this could happen to us .miss internullo did come back to see us that night , but would not apologise that she had done anything wrong . My husband and I have nothing but praise , for the treatment he has had at south mead hospital , up I till this day . But have been let down ,and traumatised with what we had to insure that day .
