I initially saw Miss Akolekar as an NHS patient but continued my treatment with her privately. I found her sympathetic, informative and reassuring and I was confident that she would undertake surgery promptly. All the arrangements for tests prior to surgery were very efficiently organised and I had my operation as a day case. I had a telephone consultation at my request with Miss Akolekar 10 days later when she informed me that all traces of my cancer had been removed and it had not spread to the lymph nodes. I found Miss Akolekar extremely approachable and friendly throughout my treatment and would not hesitate to recommend her to anyone seeking similar care.
