Made bizarre medically incorrect observations, false promises and an aggressive nature. Having wisdom tooth issues, I was referred to Oxford JR. There was an opening in my gum and I was getting infections etc. When I described my issues, she wasn't happy. 1) She looked in my mouth, prodding around a bit, and couldn't even find the opening (a problem no dentist has had). 2) She told me to take a picture next time I have an inflammation, I'm not sure how that's possible or what that would achieve. Perhaps she thought I and my dentists were lying? 3) Still, she said I could have the tooth removed or I could wait 6 months to see if I get a recurrence, and if I do and come back then we'll get it done then. She drove home the risks and scared me off enough to say ok, I'll wait and see if it happens one more time. Predictably, I immediately got pain and inflammation by the next day after all that prodding. 6 months and a couple of attacks later, I returned as planned, talking to a different surgeon(?). She then left to ask permission from Dhariwal for wisdom tooth removal, and returned to say I was REFUSED. I had been lied too. 4) I returned to my dentist, was referred to Banbury, and had zero barriers (nor aggression) this time in immediately getting removal arranged. Also I had no such problems with my previous removal, also at Banbury. While many around me have little good to say about the JR, and its reputation precedes it, I figured I would only judge if and when I had any bad experiences. JR duly obliged. I'll stick to Banbury as much as possible in future.
