Miss Anne Gilvarry is the kind of consultant everyone hopes for: engaging, expert, congenial and amusing when appropriate. She concluded a praiseworthy round of assessments by support staff and explained precisely what had been discovered, what it meant and the likely prognosis. She creates confidence in the patient which is important and helps to reassure through her very human engagement with people. This appt was on Christmas Eve when no doubt she and other staff in the Department would prefer to be home getting ready for Christmas. Thank you, Anne.

Anne Gilvarry was absolutely brilliant for my cataract operation. It was the second eye I'd had done and she was far, far better than the surgeon who did my first. I would not hesitate to recommend her.
