Mr Kurzer convinced me that he was accomplished as a specialist in hernia surgery. He is a very nice man. One thing I learned from my experience is to not necessarily trust a surgeon on his word alone. The best thing to do is ask for referrals. Find out from other people that have undergone hernia surgery with Mr. Kurzer what their experience was like? A good sign to avoid a surgeon is if he won't give you any referrals to back up his claims of being a good surgeon. Unfortunately, I failed to ask for referrals because Mr Kurzer convinced me that a very high percentage of his patients never experience complications. Well, that was not the case with me. After having bilateral inguinal hernia surgery with Mr Kurzer, I have been experiencing chronic pain ever since. I have consulted with a few surgeons regarding my condition and their recommendation is to remove the right side mesh implant that is causing me so much pain. Their diagnosis is that Mr Kurzer failed to avoid my ilioinguinal nerve and the pain has progressively worsened over time. The ilioinguinal nerve is entrapped in the mesh and when ever I sit or bend-over it causes me severe pain. Consequently, Mr Kurzer has caused me harm as a result of my hernia surgery and until I am opened back up the real extent of damage is yet to be determined. Sorry that I have to write such a poor review, but the truth must be told.
