I would certainly recommend Dr Zoe Astroulakis. I trust her completely. I fully confer with all the enthusiastic comments about her on this site and would like to contribute a short account of my own experience. I collapsed whilst working in a very warm studio and was unconscious for about 10 minutes. An ambulance was sent for and the paramedics' tests showed a that I had a heart irregularity. My GP referred me to Dr Astroulakis and she organised an urgent echocardiogram and 24 hour tape monitoring. Having got the results of these, she referred me to a colleague, a consultant cardiac surgeon, for urgent consideration of a permanent pacemaker. This surgeon phoned me to say that he did not need to examine me first since recommendations from her were always authoritative, and I had the pacemaker implanted, just a few days later. From the first referral to her to the installation of the pacemaker took a mere three weeks. Zoe Astroulakis saw me a week later, confirmed that all was well, and conferred with her surgeon colleague who said that I could resume normal activities immediately. I have gone into all this detail to show how efficient, persuasive and decisive she was throughout. The quality I should like particularly to mention is her very positive and encouraging approach. She radiates positive enthusiasm when conveying good news and always taking a positive attitude about what to expect after not-so-good news.
