Dr Zaid Aldin managed my care from the explanation of the procedure, through to the CT scan, the pre-assessment, and the procedure itself. I chose to have a sedative, mainly because I felt I would get fidgety given the possible length of time I would have to lay still but, other than that, I was not particularly worried about the procedure itself or post-op recovery. Indeed, post-operatively speaking, in the event for me it was almost like I hadn't had an operation. I did have the same symptoms of poor flow for a few days after the op and these were a little stronger than before. I also has a mild fever on the third day, but I never needed to use the strong pain killers Dr Aldin prescribed - just an occasional dose paracetamol over the first few days. By the end of the first week the flow had for the most part dramatically improved. Now after seven weeks the flow is great, and I do not have to wait for the flow to start off by encouraging my bladder area to relax - it’s just like turning a tap on - one second no flow then the next second full flow!
