Dr Younus Saleem took over and has frankly been my lifeline during a complex transition of my ADHD care from NHS England to NHS Scotland - where both systems do not seem to want to interact. Unable to obtain my medication, I went to Dr. Saleem, who was understanding of the situation and complexities and was aware of my previous diagnosis, who it was with, and tailored a very affordable way forward that will allow me access my medication until the NHS wants to take over. From the start, Dr. Saleem saw that my situation had a level of unfairness and was coming at a crucial period for me during my last semester at university. Access to the medication for this has been vital, given the impairments my severe ADHD causes to education and all areas of my daily life. Dr. Saleem was personable, giving me his own email address for if I had troubles or questions - and, free of charge, wrote a letter to my GP in Scotland, advocating for them to take over my care on the NHS, knowing that I am a student and my financial situation. I would recommend Dr Younus Saleem to anyone with a complex situation or if you're at the beginning of your journey, be that with ADHD or something else. I felt understood and listened to, and I felt my frustration navigating two systems that do not want to talk to each other and the complexities involved.
